Maintaining your registration

We're working towards providing more flexible arrangements for you to maintain your registration as a rehabilitation and return to work coordinator.

Examples of activities that count towards re-registration will include

  • attendance at a one day update course
  • attendance at state, national or international conferences about workplace rehabilitation
  • attendance at one day courses eg, conflict management and resolution, negotiation skills
  • attendance at half day courses (in-house or external) about workplace rehabilitation, eg, medical terminology
  • completing a self-assessment (at least five claims) and writing a report for your management to review
  • presenting at a state, national or international conference
  • writing an article about workplace rehabilitation for a professional journal
  • completing a Unit of Competency from a course about workplace rehabilitation
  • completing certain online courses offered by Comprehend - our e-learning program.

You'll be hearing from us between July and September 2009 with more details about the new program, when it will become operational, and the types of activities that will be approved for maintaining your registration.

If your registration is due to expire between 1 July 2009 and 30 September 2009, your registration will be extended to 31 December 2009.

You can choose to wait until the new program is finalised to update your registration or you can still attend the one day update course- it's expected the current one day course will be offered for another 12 months.
