Listening to your feedback

We had a great response to our survey last December, with over 635 responses.

We're still analysing the results but early indicators tell us you would like more support and information about educating employers, particularly supervisors, middle and upper management about the importance of rehabilitation and return to work.

You also requested more information and support about management of psychological and psychiatric injuries and how management culture and behaviour impact on workers with this type of injury.

The survey showed there's a need for events such as networking opportunities, including a conference, online information and interactive training programs. Resources such as templates for case note pages, letters to doctors and posters for the workplace were considered important.

The need for more education of doctors and injured workers about their role and responsibilities in return to work was also mentioned.

You indicated you would like to see Return to work assist, our initiative helping injured workers at risk of long-term unemployment, implemented throughout Queensland.

You noted some confusion about the respective roles of Q-COMP (Regulatory Authority) and WorkCover Queensland (workers' compensation insurer). You can learn more about the differences between Q-COMP and WorkCover Queensland by completing our e-learning course An overview of the scheme on Comprehend. This course is free and easy to access at www.qcomp.com.au.

Once the results of the survey have been fully analysed, we'll post the results on our website.
