Issue 11  Autumn 2010
Q-Comp - The Workers Compensation Regulatory Authority Logo

Welcome

Welcome to our eleventh issue of Q-COMP Rehabilitation Report, an e-newsletter providing you with regular updates and information about the Queensland workers' compensation scheme.

In this issue we introduce our Return to work journey podcast. The series follows three important players in the return to work journey; a worker, rehabilitation and return to work coordinator and treating doctor. You can use these podcasts to inform your workers and managers about what is expected if an injury occurs. Visit our Return to work zone to see these podcasts.

As you will see we've also featured an abstract from a very useful industry website -The Return to Work Knowledge Base - www.rtwknoweldge.org. This abstract explores from both a worker and employer's point of view how an inactive lifestyle can have negative effects on a person's health.

We always appreciate your comments and feedback. In the next issue we'll feature the results we have collated over the last year. If you know of any other useful websites or information that you would like to share with your industry colleagues, please feel free to pass them on by using the comments section below each story.

Nominations are now open for our Return to work awards 2010.

With four award categories for injured workers, employers, case managers and rehabilitation and return to work coordinators, our awards encourage recognition of everyone who goes above and beyond.

Be sure to nominate yourself or a deserving colleague for a Return to work award.
