Welcome

Welcome to our tenth issue of Q-COMP Rehabilitation Report, an e-newsletter providing you with regular updates and information about the Queensland workers’ compensation scheme.

Thank you to all who visited us at the 2009 Work Safe and Return to work expo.

If you weren't able to make it on the day, make sure you check out the virtual expo and enjy the expo experience right from your desktop!

Over a thousand of our stakeholders attended and I really enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with you.

Congratulations to Penny Wright from Alphapharm Pty Ltd and Ursula Lone from Scenic Rim Regional Council for winning the rehabilitation and return to work coordinator achievement awards in our first Return to work awards.

The night was a great success and highlighted the great ideas, innovation, leadership and commitment getting Queensland’s injured workers back to a safe workplace.

More details on the expo and our awards are in this issue.

In the new year there'll be a number of new options available for you to maintain your registration as a rehabilitation and return to work coordinator.

You can read about the upcoming changes in this issue and watch this space for further details.

Have a safe and enjoyable Christmas and I look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
