Winners announced in Queensland’s Return to work Awards 2012

Queensland businesses and individuals have been recognised in Q-COMP's Return to work Awards 2012 which highlights the commitment, dedication and achievements of our injured workers, health providers, case managers, rehabilitation and return to work coordinators, and employers.

The winners were selected from over 350 nominations across Queensland and were personally congratulated by Q-COMP Chair Flavia Gobbo during the awards ceremony.

The theme for this year's awards, 'New Heights' reminds us that we must continually strive to lift our game in rehabilitation and return to work outcomes. The Awards allow us to recognise, celebrate and share the outstanding contributions made by individuals and businesses that illustrate the spirit, culture and innovation to keep Queenslanders working.

Q-COMP CEO Elizabeth Woods says that the winners and finalists of the Return to work Awards 2012 are doing their part in building a strong return to work culture in Queensland.

'It's really positive to see the proactive measures employers are taking to ensure that staff are safe and supported in the event that in injury occurs.

'An injury at the workplace can have devastating affects, and I congratulate all the winners in every category for their commitment to return to work' Ms Woods said.

The winners, who received up to $2,000 in prize money, were announced at the ceremony on October 30 which took place during the Return to work Conference and Expo 2012.
