    It's hard to believe that another year has flashed by and 2012 is already tapping us on the shoulder.

     

    So much has happened in 2011, from the heart-breaking floods in January to heart-swelling events like my daughter's wedding - this was a year of ups and downs for me personally and for us all.

    Here's an interesting (and worrying) statistic for you - about 5% of all workers' compensation claims end in unemployment. It was these stats that got me thinking a few years ago about what we as a business could do for injured workers who can't go back to their old employer.

    As a statutory body with a role marked out by legislation, being "competitive" isn't something you often hear as a goal of an organisation like Q-COMP.  For us, being competitive is about treating our customers as though we've got competitors.  This means offering friendly, professional service and listening (and responding) to their feedback.
