Protecting your privacy is important to Q-COMP. As a government agency, Q-COMP is required to comply with a privacy regime that has been developed by the Queensland Government. The privacy regime is implemented by the Information Privacy Act 2009, which regulates Q-COMP’s collection, storage, use, management and disclosure of an individual’s personal information. Queensland agencies must collect and manage personal information in accordance with the Information Privacy Principles set out in the Act.

Personal information is information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database) held by Q-COMP that can identify you. Q-COMP may be required to disclose this information to a third party for auditing purposes. You have the right to request access to any personal information held by Q-COMP which relates to you. You also have the right to request the correction of any information which relates to you and is inaccurate.

Q-COMP is committed to protecting your privacy and has developed procedures to prevent unauthorised access to your personal information and policies to ensure it is used correctly.
