Launched on 21 February 2006, the majority of information on this medical services website is the product of a successful collaboration between
Q-COMP, medical practitioners and insurers.

The website is designed to assist workers' compensation stakeholders by providing an online tool to access the ongoing initiatives that Q-COMP will implement as a result of the recent Medical Services Review.

These initiatives aim to benefit medical practitioners, insurers and injured workers by facilitating:

• Faster decisions on claims by insurers, allowing earlier payment
• Reduced paperwork
• Less requests for reports
• Increased fees for workers' compensation related services; and
• Better outcomes for injured workers.

The medical services initiatives have been developed by Q-COMP in partnership with AFOM, AMA Queensland, AOA, ASOS, QDGP, RACGP, RANZCP, QWCSIA and WorkCover Queensland.
