After your medical assessment tribunal
After your medical assessment tribunal
The medical assessment tribunal decision is usually finalised within seven to fourteen days of your appointment.
Once it’s finalised, you, your insurer and your representative (if you have one) will receive a written copy—decisions are never advised verbally.
If there is a delay, we will let you know the reasons why and when you can expect the decision.
Sometimes your medical assessment tribunal doctors may need to defer their decision, such as for more details or x-rays but the decision can’t be deferred for longer than three months at a time.
