Welcome

Welcome to the twelfth issue of Medical Assessment Tribunal Quarterly Report a newsletter that aims to keep you updated with the latest news and information from our industry.

As we enter the start of a new financial year we say goodbye to many valued chairpersons and tribunal members and welcome our new chairpersons and member's to the Specialty Medical Assessment tribunals. I enjoyed meeting all of our new members at the recent induction session.

I'm sure the new financial year will bring many opportunities and challenges for us all and in particular with the recently announced scheme reform, our strategic direction will be focused on remaining adaptive and proactive to these changes. In this issue you can read about how the scheme changes have affected our Return to work assist program.

Our focus for the Medical Assessment Tribunals will be the transition from paper to electronic files and selected tribunal members are currently testing whether iPads will be an effective resource to assist in this transition. Keep an eye out for further details in our next edition.

Looking forward to talking to you soon.
