The regional tribunal was held on 28 November at the Sebel Hotel in Cairns. This tribunal saw five workers have their matters heard in a location closer to their own homes, and as these were all Psychiatric cases it meant that they arrived without too much travel and some of the associated stress with the lead up to the appointment was reduced.
The Tribunal Services Team will be looking at holding tribunals on a more regular basis in regional areas across Queensland. More information about the scheduled dates and locations will be available in the new year.
