Welcome

Welcome to the twelfth issue of Medical Assessment Tribunal Quarterly Report a newsletter that aims to keep you updated with the latest news and information from our industry.

Over the next few months you will notice the MAT's team wearing our new Q-COMP uniform. The team are looking forward to getting the new uniforms and we believe that they will portray a more professional image to our external customers while also contributing to the sense of pride we feel in the service we deliver.

It's nearly that time of the year again for our Return to work Conference, Expo and Awards. The theme for this year's event 'Above and Beyond' celebrates the essence of what we strive for in our industry practices-the essential work and new approaches undertaken to develop and improve a strong back to work culture for Queensland's injured workers.

From almost 500 inspirational nominations, forty-five most deserving rehabilitation and return to work coordinators, insurer case managers, employers and injured workers have been recognised as finalists for our Return to work Awards. Be sure to check out qcompconference.com.au for a full list of this year's finalists.

Q-COMP's Annual Report 09/10 is now available at qcompannualreport.com.au. Our report to the Attorney-General and Minister for Industrial Relations accurately reflects our financial and non-financial performance from 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010.

The past year has been one of ongoing change for Queensland, our industry and our organisation with the Queensland workers' compensation scheme reforms taking place.

Our report shows how we have adapted to the scheme reforms and industry changes by amending our structure, creating new teams and continuing to drive forward with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Visit our Annual Report online to access our report, financials and Statistics Report 09/10.
