Philip injured his right shoulder while working as a process worker. He underwent surgery and was left with a lifting restriction. He was referred to Return to work assist on 19 October 2011 as he was no longer employed when his workers' compensation claim was closed.

After lengthy discussions with stakeholders, Q-COMP will be shortly approving a new version of the workers' compensation medical certificate. The new hard copy version will be available by the end of June, however the electronic version will take a little longer to release while arrangements are finalised with medical software providers. Insurers will be advised when the new certificate is available.
