ASIEQ Conference continues to grow

The Lasting Change through Employer Based Injury Management conference held on the 23rd and 24th of March was a huge success with over 330 attending the two day conference.

The ASIEQ Conference was opened by the Honourable Cameron Dick, Attorney General and Minister for Industrial Relations and was addressed by senior representatives from Q-COMP, ASIEQ, Workplace Health and Safety and WorkCover Queensland.

The focus of the conference was encouraging employers to demonstrate that better outcomes for injured workers and employers are achieved through employer based initiatives.

ASIEQ was proud to announce an $8000 sponsorship of our Return to Work awards 2010 and encouraged all employers, rehabilitation and return to work coordinators, case managers and self-insured employers to nominate their hardworking colleagues for the event.

The theme of next year's event is to promote Queensland working together to strive for better outcomes. The conference will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 28-29 March 2011 under the title 'Leadership and Vision in Injury Management'.

More information will be provided at our Return to work Awards ceremony held on the 26October 2010 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
