Joanne Durant’s Return to work assist success storyJoanne was referred to Return to work assist in late March 2010 by her employer, after she was injured at work and unable to return to her job as a night shelf filler. Kylie Horton from Q-COMP's Return to work assist team worked with Joanne to talk through her career options and together they identified that Joanne would like to retrain in business administration. Kylie secured a position for Joanne with Jobsmart in Mackay, with a Certificate in Business Administration as part of the Productivity Places Program (PPP)-all fully funded and at no cost for Joanne. After successfully completing the course in April 2010, Joanne is now working for Community Solutions as a training officer plus currently completing a Certificate in Training. With the encouragement and support of her employer, Joanne's goal is to work as an accredited trainer. ![]()
