Changes to keeping your rehabilitation and return to work coordinator registration up-to-date

Coming in May 2010 will be a number of new options for you to maintain your registration as a rehabilitation and return to work coordinator.

New activities to keep your registration up to date include:

  • one day update courses for rehabilitation and return to work coordinators developed by external or internal trainers/training organisations
  • one unit of competency or tertiary subject relevant to workplace rehabilitation at certificate three level or above. Units of competency relevant to workplace rehabilitation could include negotiation/consultation skills, managing conflict, dealing with difficult people, communication/counselling skills, injury management, leadership skills
  • one unit of competency about injury management or workers' compensation (including any unit from 30782QLD course in functioning as a RRTWC)
  • one day or more attendance at a state, national or international conference with relevance to workplace rehabilitation such as the Association of Self Insured Employers of Queensland conference, National Workers' Compensation Summit or the National Self Insurance Summit.

 

Activities will be ranked to provide a period of registration for one, two or three years.
