Insurer Report, Spring 2011

Welcome to the Spring edition of the Insurer Report, the last before the Return to work Conference, Expo and Awards in October.

In this edition, we look at statistical trends from 2010/11, discuss what Q-COMP is doing to meet the needs of Queensland's regional communities, and share the return to work story of a Mackay woman who went from a supermarket shelf-stacker to an accredited trainer after a workplace injury.

Also in this edition, we celebrate the Finalists of the Return to work Awards 2011, 46 individuals and organisations who are helping to build a strong return to work culture in Queensland.

I'd like to acknowledge another person who has done so much for the return to work industry in Queensland - Bill Nevin, who will be stepping down as Chair of the ASIEQ Board in late October.

Bill has been tireless in his efforts and enthusiasm since he became Chair four years ago, and I'm sure he's looking forward to a well deserved break.
