Graham Walker says:
Are the Self-Insurers required to refer injured workers who are not able to resume their pre-injury duties when their claims close to RTW Assist? If so, are any statistics available as to the success rate for referrals from the Self-Insurers?
Q-COMP says:
Hi Graham, yes that's correct; self-insurers are required to refer to Return to work assist. I don't have any stats on hand about the success rate for self-insurer referrals, but I will find out and get back to you. Thanks, Ginny
Q-COMP says:
Hi Graham, thanks again for your comment. The return to work rate for workers referred to Return to work assist from a self-insured employer in 2010/11 is 84.9% (this only includes those workers who were able to be contacted, able to work, and willing to participate). For more statistics on Return to work assist, the Q-COMP Annual Statistics Report is now available online at www.qcompannualreport.com.au – thanks, Ginny.
