The Annual General Meeting of the Association of Self Insured Employers in Queensland (ASIEQ)on the 27th October 2011 will see the current Chairperson Bill Nevin stepping down and Victoria Barham from Woolworths taking up the role of Chairperson for the next two years.
Q-COMP would like to send our warm thanks to Bill who has over the last four years worked with the current Executive to develop the Association into a key contributor to the scheme. Under Bill's leadership, ASIEQ has been a major sponsor of all three Q-COMP Return to work Awards and we wish to acknowledge this contribution to such a successful event.
Bill and his team have coordinated four major conferences over the past four years with this year's extremely successful Leadership and Vision in Injury Management conference a joint effort with Q-COMP, WorkCover and the Dept of Workplace Health and Safety.
The conferences have focused attention towards sustainable return to work and linking Health, Safety, Wellness, and Injury Management in the workplace to achieve better outcomes.
Bill and the Executive have developed relationships with key stakeholders and have been successful in helping foster better relationships within the scheme with key messages like "Sustainable return to work " & "Better life outcomes for injured workers".
Bills has asked us to extend his thanks to all the people who have contributed to ASIEQ endeavours over the last 4 years and would encourage all to support Victoria Barham and the new executive as they lead the association into 2012.
Q-COMP would like to congratulate Victoria on her transition to the role and look forward to working together with her and the new Executive as we continue to strive for better outcome across the scheme.
