Issue 13  Spring 2010
Q-Comp - The Workers Compensation Regulatory Authority Logo

Welcome

Welcome to our thirteenth issue of Q-COMP Insurer Report, an e-newsletter providing you with important industry news and information about the Queensland workers' compensation scheme.

It's nearly that time of the year again for our Return to work Conference, Expo and Awards. The theme for this year's event 'Above and Beyond' celebrates the essence of what we strive for in our industry practices-the essential work and new approaches undertaken to develop and improve a strong back to work culture for Queensland's injured workers.

From almost 500 inspirational nominations, forty-five most deserving rehabilitation and return to work coordinators, insurer case managers, employers and injured workers have been recognised as finalists for our Return to work Awards. Be sure to check out qcompconference.com.au for a full list of this year's finalists.

In this issue we have some important topics to report on including the trends we found in our recent audits, changes to our application for review forms, the release of our Annual Report and changes made to the legislation regarding lodging an appeal of a Q-COMP review. Our Data Management and Analysis Team have also been busy working on the insurer comparative reports and we are aiming to send them electronically in November.

I hope to see you at our Return to work Conference and Expo.
