Welcome

Welcome to our eleventh issue of Q-COMP Insurer Report, an e-newsletter providing you with regular updates and information about the Queensland workers' compensation scheme.

It was great to see many familiar faces at the ASIEQ Conference in late March. With our focus this year on 'J business' - in reference to Section 'j' in the Act which sets out our duty to promote education about the workers' compensation scheme - it was a great opportunity to promote our upcoming initiatives such as Comprehend, our newly formed Education Promotion Team and the Return to work Expo, Conference and Awards.

At the conference we also introduced our Return to work journey podcasts. The series follows three important players in the return to work journey; a worker, rehabilitation and return to work coordinator and treating doctor. You can use these podcasts to inform your workers and managers about what is expected if an injury occurs. Visit our Return to work zone to see these podcasts.

Nominations are now open for our Return to work Awards 2010.

With four award categories for injured workers, employers, case managers and rehabilitation and return to work coordinators, our awards ensure that everyone who goes above and beyond in their role is given an opportunity to shine and receive the recognition they deserve.

Be sure to nominate yourself or a deserving colleague for a Return to work award.
