WelcomeWelcome to our twelfth issue of Q-COMP Health Report, an e-newsletter providing you with important industry news and information about the Queensland workers' compensation scheme.
We are fast approaching the end of our financial year and upon reflection we have had some great challenges and successes. Our focus on promoting and educating the scheme saw the implementation of some great initiatives such as the introduction of our Return to work Conference, Expo and Awards, our participation in exhibiting and speaking at industry trade displays across Queensland and our eight month review of the allied health table of costs.
The new financial year will bring new opportunities and challenges and in particular with the recently announced scheme reforms our strategic direction will be focused on remaining adaptive and proactive to these changes. You can read about how the scheme changes have affected Return to work assist in this issue.
In this edition you will also find useful articles about the recently launched allied health professional's zone and legislation changes for nurse practitioners and how this will affect you.
Time is running out to nominate either yourself or a deserving colleague for the Return to work Awards 2010.
We have received over 300 nominations across Queensland and with nominations closing on Wednesday 2 July 2010 we believe that there are more inspirational stories that could be shared.
Don't miss out on your chance to be recognised - be sure to get your nominations in as soon as possible.
