Return to work assist good-news story

Medical fee review 2011
You may have noticed a few changes to the medical fees for GP's
and Specialists.
In November 2010 Q-COMP commenced a medical fee review to
research current fees for medical services and to establish whether
the fees listed in the Q-COMP medical tables of costs were
appropriate.

Worker pleads guilty to providing false and misleading information regarding past history of back injuries
An Aged Care Employers Self-Insurance Group worker pleaded
guilty in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 17 November 2011 of
providing false and misleading information to the insurer in
relation to her past history of back injuries and back pain.

Regional network program picks up speed
Q-COMP is excited to announce the appointment of two additional
regional representatives from Rockhampton and Townsville. Our
newest representatives are a welcomed addition to our existing team

We've recently established the Q-COMP research committee (QRC)
to help oversee and manage projects, requests and initiatives
funded by Q-COMP. All projects must aim to further our knowledge
and understanding of the workers' compensation scheme with tangible
outcomes.
