Call for submissions for allied health fee review
Q-COMP is currently reviewing a number of the tables of costs for allied health services. As part of this review, we're inviting submissions from interested stakeholders.
In 2010, we conducted a review of all allied health tables of costs. One outcome of the review identified the current practice of a full review every three (3) years did not allow the 12 table of Costs to maintain relevance with current fees and services. To address this Q-COMP will stagger the reviews of respective tables of costs every two years. This will ensure that fees and services remain relevant and enable continued access to providers for injured workers.
The aim of the review is to establish fair and reasonable tables of costs for allied health services under the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003.
The review will consider the table of costs used by insurers for services delivered by both registered and non-registered allied health providers. The tables of costs being reviewed in 2011 are:
