Return to work assist updateReturn to work assist continues to help Queensland's workers at risk of unemployment after a work injury.
The free and voluntary service assists injured workers with prior learning recognition, training and job placement, job preparation and career guidance. Workers can access Return to work assist by being referred by their workers' compensation insurer, medical or allied health provider or employer at the end of their compensation claim or by referring themselves directly by calling 1300 361 235.
336 injured workers have accessed Return to work assist since September 2008 and to date 86% of the injured workers who have completed the program have had a successful outcome.
