Allied health providers not listed but wish to use these item codes must be able to provide proof to the insurer they are appropriately skilled to provide the service.

  • Supplementary
     
    Services include communication/consultation, case conference, progress report, standard report, comprehensive report, travel and incidental expenses/supportive devices/equipment hire. Eligible providers are occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, chiropractors, registered nurses, osteopaths, podiatrists, speech pathologists, dieticians, exercise physiologists, rehabilitation counsellors and social workers.
  • Return to work

    Services include workplace evaluation/assessment, functional capacity evaluation (FCE), return to work facilitation, suitable duties plan, monitoring suitable duties, vocational assessment, job seeking – initial consultation, job preparation service and job placement service. Eligible providers are occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, rehabilitation counsellors, exercise physiologists and social workers.
  • Rehabilitation support
     
    Services include physical conditioning, adjustment to injury counselling, ambulance transport–non–Queensland ambulance service (QAS), dietary diversional therapy, domestic assistance, tutoring and external case management. Eligible providers are physiotherapists, dieticians, diversional therapists, domestic workers, exercise physiologists, rehabilitation counsellors and social workers.
