Steve Morrow
Steve injured himself at work when he fell after losing his
balance and, while trying to break his fall, impacted with a step
down wall which resulted in his thumb being awkwardly
dislocated.
Steve was without work for 13 months while he underwent
rehabilitation through frequent visits to an orthopaedic
surgeon.
Due to his injury Steve was unable to return to his previous
employment in both carpentry and air conditioning and so was
referred to Return to work assist.
Return to work assist identified an opportunity for Steve to
undertake a Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing
and Storage) with Skilling Solutions Queensland and kept in touch
with him throughout the course.
Steve is now working in a role at his former company which
utilises the forklift ticket he gained during his course and is
thankful for the opportunities now open to him through the help of
Return to work assist.
