Who we are
Q-COMP is an independent statutory authority, established on 1 July 2003 under the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 to oversee Queensland’s workers' compensation scheme.
We work with scheme partners such as insurers and the Department of Justice and Attorney-General, and stakeholders to balance the needs of workers and employers to ensure a fair and efficient scheme for all.
We don't receive any funding from the Government’s consolidated revenue—we are primarily funded through contributions from insurers.
